Eating Healthy And Exercise – Why Do People Give Up?

I have been asked on many occasions “How do I lose my belly?”, “How can I lose weight?” etc… etc. The first thing I tell people is that 80-90 % of your success comes from what you put in your mouth. If you are not eating the right foods, you will not lose weight where you want and how you want. It’s just a fact. People ask for my help all the time… and I am no expert… but quite close to it. I help because I care and want to have healthy and happy friends and family. I have created meal plans for people according to what information they give me. Example: their weight, height, health conditions, allergies, goals… etc. Then I create their plan. The reaction I get most of the time is “I am not sure how I will do this.” Really? Do you want to lose weight or not? People that give up quickly usually don’t have a good support system (husband, wife, sister, brother, friend), have lots of temptation around them, have bad marriages, are stressed out (even more of a reason to eat healthy and exercise), are lazy and make it a point to be negative every day of their lives. That kind of attitude will get you no where really, really fast. People… NO EXCUSES… You only have this one life. Don’t you want to see the blue skies and the turquoise waters for as long as you can? I do!! Even though the waters by me are not turquoise. Hey, you know what I am trying to say.

Many people may not know this, but what triggered me to become a health freak started several years ago after a visit to the doctor. I have always been active, but the food I was putting in my mouth was ridiculous. Now back to the doctor visit. The words “You have high blood pressure” came out of my doctors mouth. I was put on high blood pressure medication and was extremely allergic to them. That blew me away and that day after is where I decided to change my life. I began to eat right and take exercise more seriously. I lost 25 pounds and my blood pressure was back to normal. No medications for me!!!!! Funny what good eating and exercise can do to your internal health.

Would most of you change your life after a doctor visit like mine? Probably not. You would just take the medication and live with having high blood pressure. That’s the craziest reality I have ever heard. Do I have rough days where I just want to wing it up, fry it up and grease it up? Heck yeah!! And then I look at one of my pictures where I was 25 pounds heavier, where my face looked like a balloon and my heart was quite unhealthy… then I say never mind… I love myself more than that. I want to be around to see my son get married and see my first grandchild being born. By the way, when I tell people to eat clean does not mean you can’t have some of the foods you really like. That would just be wrong. I treat myself weekly to the things I enjoy eating. I would never be successful if I am not enjoying the journey. Life is about happiness, not struggle!!!

So please… DON’T GIVE UP PEOPLE!!!!
